Licensing
What every Viksya purchase includes, and what requires a Consultant Licence.
The short version: every purchase includes a perpetual Personal Licence for your own professional and internal organisational use. If you plan to deliver a Viksya framework to clients under your own brand, that requires a Consultant Licence.
1. The Two Licence Types
Viksya products are licensed, not sold outright. Every product and bundle purchase includes a Personal Licence at no extra cost. Consultants, agencies, and systems integrators who deliver Viksya frameworks to clients as their own work product operate under a separate Consultant Licence.
The line between the two is simple: is the output leaving your organisation as your work product? If you're using a framework inside your own organisation, the Personal Licence covers you. If you're presenting it to a client as your deliverable, that's Consultant Licence territory.
Personal Licence
Perpetual · no additional cost
For your own professional work and internal use within the organisation that employs or owns you — including internal programmes, internal reporting, and internal decision-making.
Covers the product purchased. Includes free updates to that product.
Consultant Licence
Annual term
For consultants, agencies, and systems integrators using Viksya frameworks in client engagements, under white-label branding, across an unlimited number of clients.
Covers all current and future paid tools released during the licence term, with priority support.

3. What the Personal Licence Covers
The Personal Licence is included automatically with every product and bundle purchase. Under it, you may:
- Use the product for your own professional work and for internal purposes within your organisation — internal programmes, internal reporting, and internal decision-making.
- Modify the product for that internal use — adjust weights, add tabs, extend criteria.
- Receive free updates to the specific product you purchased.
It does not permit removing Viksya branding, presenting the tool or its outputs to clients as your own work product, reselling or redistributing the product, or using it to train AI or machine learning models. Full detail is in the Terms & Conditions.
4. What Requires a Consultant Licence
If any of the following applies to how you plan to use a Viksya tool, you need a Consultant Licence rather than relying on the Personal Licence included with your purchase:
- You are delivering the tool, or its outputs, to a client as part of a paid engagement.
- You want to remove or replace Viksya branding and present the tool under your own or your firm's brand.
- You expect to use the tool across multiple client organisations, not just your own.
The Consultant Licence is a 12-month practice subscription: it covers unlimited client engagements, white-label rights, and every paid Viksya tool — including new tools released during the term — rather than a single product.
5. Edge Cases
I'm an employee of a consulting firm and bought a product for myself. Can I use it on a client engagement?
No. A Personal Licence purchased by an individual covers that individual's own organisation. Client-facing delivery requires a Consultant Licence, held by the firm or the individual consultant delivering the work.
I work on an internal consulting or shared-services team within one company group. Does the Personal Licence cover that?
Yes. “Your organisation” includes the legal entity that employs you and its affiliates under common control. Work delivered to another business unit within the same corporate group is internal use.
What happens if my Consultant Licence lapses in the middle of a client engagement?
Deliverables you created and delivered to a client while your licence was active remain licensed. Once the term expires without renewal, you may not start new client engagements, produce new client deliverables, or receive further updates until you renew.
Does a Consultant Licence cover my whole team, or just me?
A Consultant Licence covers one named consultant. If you need coverage for a small team, contact us at hello@viksya.com — we're happy to discuss options for firms.
6. Getting a Consultant Licence
The Consultant Licence is not yet listed as a self-serve product on the site. If your work involves delivering Viksya frameworks to clients, email hello@viksya.com and we'll set up the right licence for how you work. As new tools are added, some may be released under Consultant Licence terms only — this page will reflect that as it happens.
