Privacy Policy

How Viksya collects, uses, and protects your personal data.

Last updated: 17 July 2026

Summary: We collect only what we need to operate this store, communicate with you, and respond to your questions. We do not sell your data. We use Payhip to process purchases, MailerLite for email, and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site. If you use the AI chatbot on viksya.com, it may ask for your name and email address to personalise its responses; providing these is optional. If you use our Google Apps Script-powered tools, we disclose exactly what that script accesses below.

1. Who We Are

This website is operated by Viksya / HV Digi Media, an independent digital products business based in India. Our contact email is hello@viksya.com. References to “we”, “us”, or “Viksya” in this policy refer to Viksya / HV Digi Media.

2. What Data We Collect and Why

2.1 Purchase and Account Data (via Payhip)

When you purchase a product, Payhip processes your transaction. Payhip collects your name, email address, billing information, and payment details. We receive from Payhip: your name, email address, the product(s) purchased, and purchase date. We use this to fulfil your order, send your download link, and provide purchase-related support.

Payhip’s own privacy policy applies to data processed on their platform: payhip.com/privacy.

2.2 Email Signup Data (via MailerLite)

If you submit your email address via the notification signup form on our homepage, your email is stored in MailerLite, our email marketing provider. We use this to send you updates about new frameworks and tools. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. MailerLite’s privacy policy is at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy.

2.3 Contact Form Data

When you use the contact form at viksya.com/contact, your name, email address, and message are sent to us via Payhip’s contact form system. We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add contact form submissions to any marketing list without your explicit consent.

2.4 Website Analytics (Payhip and Microsoft Clarity)

Payhip may collect anonymised usage data about how visitors interact with the store (page views, referral sources, device type). This data is aggregated and not personally identifiable.

We also use Microsoft Clarity, a website analytics tool provided by Microsoft, to understand how visitors navigate viksya.com. Clarity records information such as pages visited, click and scroll behaviour, session duration, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address. Clarity data is used solely to identify usability issues and improve the site; it is not used for advertising. Microsoft’s privacy statement, including details on Clarity, is available at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement and clarity.microsoft.com/terms.

2.5 AI Chatbot Data

viksya.com includes an AI chatbot, built on a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) system, that answers visitor questions about our products and methodologies. To personalise its responses to you, the chatbot may ask for your name and email address before or during a conversation. Providing this information is optional — you may skip this step and continue using the chatbot without submitting your name or email.

If you choose to provide your name and email, we use this information to address you appropriately within the conversation and, where relevant, to follow up on your enquiry. We do not use chatbot conversation data for advertising or sell it to third parties. Chatbot conversations may be retained to improve response quality and to maintain a record of enquiries handled through the tool.

2.6 Cookies

This site uses cookies through Payhip’s platform and Microsoft Clarity. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

3. Google Apps Script — Data Access Disclosure

Some Viksya products include a Google Apps Script component that runs inside Google Sheets. This section discloses exactly what that script accesses when you use it.

3.1 What the Script Accesses

  • The active Google Sheet only. The script reads and writes data within the specific spreadsheet file you open it in. It does not access any other files in your Google Drive.
  • No Google account data. The script does not access your Gmail, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, or any other Google service.
  • No external transmission of your data. The script does not send any data you enter into the spreadsheet to any external server, database, or third party, including Viksya / HV Digi Media.
  • Execution logs. Google may log script execution metadata (run time, errors) in your Google account’s Apps Script dashboard. These logs are visible only to you.

3.2 Permissions the Script Requests

When you first run the script, Google will ask you to authorise the following scopes:

  • spreadsheets (read/write): Required to calculate scores, populate dashboards, and format output cells within the workbook.
  • script.external_request (if applicable): Only requested if the specific tool version you have includes a live data fetch (e.g. exchange rates). If this permission is requested, the destination URL is documented in the tool’s README tab.

If you are uncomfortable granting any permission, the Excel (.xlsx) version of every Viksya tool provides identical functionality without requiring any Google account authorisation.

3.3 Revoking Access

You can revoke the script’s permissions at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access will not delete any data in your spreadsheet.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area, our legal bases for processing personal data are:

  • Contract performance — processing your purchase and delivering your download.
  • Legitimate interests — responding to contact form enquiries, understanding site usage through Microsoft Clarity, and improving our products.
  • Consent — sending marketing emails and, where you choose to provide it, using your name and email address within the AI chatbot (you can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing from email or by declining to provide these details to the chatbot).

5. Data Retention

Purchase data is retained by Payhip in accordance with their policies and applicable tax law requirements. Email list data is retained until you unsubscribe. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry. Chatbot conversation data, including any name and email you provide, is retained only as long as needed to service your enquiry and improve the tool. Microsoft Clarity retains analytics data in accordance with Microsoft’s own retention practices, described at the links in Section 2.4.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@viksya.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data Security

We rely on Payhip, MailerLite, and Microsoft Clarity for data storage and transmission, each of which uses industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS) and security practices. We do not store payment card information.

8. Third-Party Links

Our site and products may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before submitting any personal information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Contact
